International Assistance Group (IAG), the world’s largest alliance of independent assistance companies has confirmed that AAI Taiwan has joined the group as Core Partner for Taiwan.

A joint venture between Executive Aviation Taiwan Corporation (EATC) and Malaysian-based AA International Inc. (AAI) provides Taiwan’s only 24/7 air ambulance emergency medical assistance company with access to jets capable of undertaking both domestic and international air transfers plus the experience of undertaking missions into China. Furthermore, it provides the traditional medical assistance platform offering a broad range of services with both medical and operational staff.

“This is another significant step in extending our global alliance, on this occasion with the appointment of a partner capable of offering both, medical assistance and air ambulance services in Taiwan. The Asian and Far East markets, regionally and internationally, are of significant importance with increasing passenger traffic and developing needs. These are challenges best met by local expertise working collaboratively within an international alliance such as the IAG,” said Cécile Hermetz, International Assistance Group’s General Manager.

Lawrence Tiong, AAI Taiwan’s Executive Director stated: “We are delighted to have undertaken the IAG’s selection process and to have attained Core Partner status. This will ensure that other IAG Partners with clients travelling to Taiwan will feel confident that AAI Taiwan has been selected on the same common basis as themselves.” “Regionally we also add value with our air ambulance capability on Hawker 400, 800 and Legacy 600 aircraft. These are suited to undertaking the diversity of challenges within our region,” Lawrence Tiong added.

The new IAG Partner in Taiwan handles over 8,000 cases per year on behalf of assistance companies as well as insurance companies.
