World Med Assistance joins International Assistance Group as medical escort services provider

Paris, June 15, 2018

Paris-based international medical escort company, World Med Assistance, has been given Accredited Service Provider status within the International Assistance Group (IAG), the world’s largest alliance of independent assistance companies and service providers.

With experience and capabilities covering all forms of medical repatriations, World Med Assistance (WMA) can deploy their own medical staff (including doctors, nurses and paramedics) and equipment to all parts of the globe, and to the high training standards of the French medical care system.

“We are proud and delighted to join the IAG. The integration of WMA into the IAG network has, for my team, an important significance in showing our will to further develop on the international scene,” said David Audibert, CEO of World Med Assistance.

“The Accredited Service Provider status is a strong sign of quality and seriousness, it brings recognition and visibility to major assistance companies. Finally, our new partnership helps our ambition to continuously improve the quality of service we give to customers,” he added.

Working with assistance companies, government services, NGOs, corporate and individual clients, WMA undertakes over 390 missions per year, 25% of which are totally outside of France. Additionally, services are also provided to events such as sports competitions, shows, filming and work sites. Apart from the main European languages, staff are also fluent in Arabic and Russian.

Equipment routinely carried include: portable oxygen concentrators, multi-parameter monitoring equipment with built-in defibrillators, transport ventilation, electric syringe pumps, immobilization items such as vacuum mattresses, splits and cervical collars plus the relevant medication for each mission. The service is complemented by a world-wide network of healthcare facilities, authorised patient transportation services and healthcare professionals allowing for an end-to-end solution in patient transportation.

IAG’s General Manager, Cécile Hermetz, welcomed WMA and expanded: “Our quality-based Accredited Service Provider programme continues to grow in all aspects of medical assistance provision ensuring that the alliance has the strongest possible solution to benefit both Partners and Providers.”
