International Assistance Group upgrades leading medical assistance provider for Madagascar
Paris, March 22, 2018
Assistance Plus has successfully upgraded its status within the International Assistance Group (IAG) to Accredited Service Provider after having served as correspondent for four years.
Founded in 1996 by Patrick Cejudo, Assistance Plus now employs 42 people including 10 medical practitioners who, in 2017, handled over 2,500 medical cases of which 186 were for internal or outbound medical evacuations. Assistance Plus’ reach now extends to Reunion, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Seychelles, Comoros and Mayotte, making them an important addition to the Accredited Service Provider ranking within the IAG.
Mr. Cejudo commented, “We have worked diligently and hard to establish a company that has the credibility and capacity to serve the global assistance industry, corporate clients, foreign embassies and NGOs”. “Attaining Accredited Service Provider status within the IAG is an important endorsement of that work. Additionally, we now have increased opportunities to tap into the knowledge of the IAG alliance through the team at their office in Paris, access to valuable services and face-to-face dialogue at internal forums,” he added.
“Having an Accredited Service Provider for Madagascar and the surrounding area is important. The recent history and infrastructure poses challenges whilst the government has applaudable ambitions to develop their tourism industry and all the external support needed to achieve that,” said Cecile Hermetz, General Manager of the International Assistance Group.
Patrick Cejudo arrived in Madagascar with his wife, a suitcase and an idea. Having spent his childhood in a number of African countries, he attended a business school in France and later served 6 years in a French Army Commando regiment. Having established a number of successful businesses in France, Patrick and his wife decided to find a new adventure!
